Expedition to Star Island August 28-30, 2018 Set sail with Adventure as Gloucester's flagship schooner embarks on a three-day expedition to the Isles of Shoals! Experience the joys of schooner sailing while connecting these two storied ports. Departing Tuesday, August 28th and returning Thursday, August 30, guests will stay ashore at the historic Star Island Hotel, famous for its charm and hospitality. While on board Adventure, guests will have the opportunity to participate in sailing the ship, learn the history of the dory fishery, and take in the grandeur of the Gulf of Maine. Upon arrival, you will step into a unique setting and leave mainland life behind. Our guests can choose to tour both Star and Appledore Islands, discover Celia Thaxter's gardens, take in lectures offered by Historic New England, pay a visit to the Shoals Marine Lab - or just relax! Expedition Costs: Prices range from $725-$800 per person depending on accommodation selection. Children 6-11 years old, $350, children 11-17 years old, $500. Includes sailing three days, all meals, and two nights accommodation at Star Island Hotel. Additional options (lectures, tours, lobster bake) are an additional $66 per person.
