Spring Rendezvous at the Hingham Yacht Club and the North Channel Confrontation Race The Hingham Rendezvous serves as a great shakedown cruise, so please make plans to join MYC at the Hingham Yacht Club on Father's Day Weekend. It is an easy and picturesque cruise to Hingham Harbor, and everyone is invited to join this early season event! This year, in conjunction with the Hingham Rendezvous and to add some excitement for those sailing down, the North Channel Confrontation Race with the Hingham Yacht Club will take place on the same weekend. On Saturday, June 16th at 1300, the race starting line will be at the Finns Ledge R2 bell buoy and the race will then proceed to the Hingham Yacht Club. HYC will provide the Race Committee boat. The sailing time from Manchester to Hingham is approximately four hours. Hingham Yacht Club is a well-equipped club with fuel, ice, water, and showers. They have been hosting this annual event for over thirty years. That evening, Saturday, June 16th at 1800, after arrival at moorings provided by HYC, Green Watering Cans and soft drinks will be offered onboard the MYC raft. The Hingham launch will be happy to provide rides to and from the raft, or you can bring your dinghy. Bring an appetizer to share if you would like, and toast the start of the 2018 season with old and new friends. On Sunday, the HYC launch will deliver The Boston Globe to your boat. All MYC members and their guests are invited to their Father's Day Buffet Brunch in the clubhouse (for a nominal fee). After breakfast, head back to MYC for the Father's Day Gam on the floats at 1700. Registration for this event is necessary, so we can let Hingham know how many boats and visitors to expect. Please register below by Wednesday, June 13. Provide your boat name, length, draft and type (power or sail) for complimentary mooring reservations, and a head count for the Sunday brunch if you plan to attend.
