The Fall Series is MYC’s race for serious offshore sailors! Held on the second to last weekend of PHRF Offshore racing makes it a very important race in the Mass Bay Sailing series of qualifying races for the season’s top honors in both the racing and cruising classes. Starting in the vicinity of Gales Ledge off the Manchester-by-the-Sea coastline at 1100 hours will be the first of two races of the day using portable marks and will be done in accordance to MBSA standard courses. Featuring one minute rolling starts and a stiff fall breeze makes this an excellent venue for racers of all types. A strict 2.5 hour time limit ensures that racers are finished on time for post-race festivities at the Club, including a nice piping hot cup of fish chowder, snacks and the usual cash bar. Awards presented will be for first place finishes in all classes and second and third place will be awarded based on the number of boats entered. Sailing does not end after Labor Day!! September in New England offers the best breezes of the season which in turn makes for great racing so be sure to make time for this last fun filled event of the season! Please register at Regattaman by Saturday, September 23 at 1600. Questions? Please contact Race Chair Paula Filias at [email protected] or (978) 360-3449.
