Entries are underway for the 50th Annual S. S. Crocker Memorial Race being held on July 9th, 2016. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the race and the S. S. Crocker Race Committee has been hard at work planning this year’s race and festivities to celebrate this great milestone. Some of the highlights of this year’s race are: July 8th: Cookout/Skipper’s Meeting
To kick the race weekend off the Manchester Harbor Boat Club will be hosting a Cook Out at Crocker’s Boat Yard on Friday evening, July 8th. Come join fellow racers at 1800 for burgers & hot dogs. (BYOB – ice & glasses provided.) The Skippers' Meeting will be held in the boat yard at 1930 following the cookout. July 9th: Race & Awards Celebration
After the race on Saturday all skippers, their crew and guests are invited to the Manchester Yacht Club for the Awards ceremony and After Race Party complete with delicious chowder, lots of great hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and even a little rum tasting compliments of our sponsor Mount Gay Rum. Also, this year in addition to a commemorative glass each skipper will receive a 50th Anniversary boat bag, a few 50th Anniversary t-shirts for their crew and a signature red Mount Gay hat.
