Spring Rendezvous at the Hingham Yacht Club - Saturday, June 17th, Cruise to Hingham The Hingham Rendezvous serves as a great shake-down cruise, so please make plans to join MYC at the Hingham Yacht Club on Father’s Day Weekend. It is an easy and picturesque cruise to Hingham Harbor, and everyone is invited to join this early season event!
The sailing time from Manchester to Hingham is approximately four hours. Hingham Yacht Club is a well-equipped club with fuel, ice, water, and showers. They have been hosting this annual event for over thirty years. On Saturday, June 17th at 1800, Green Watering Cans and soft drinks will be offered onboard the MYC powerboat raft. The Hingham launch will be happy to provide rides to and from the raft, or you can bring your dinghy. Bring an appetizer to share if you would like, and toast the start of the 2017 season with old and new friends.
On Sunday, the HYC launch will deliver the The Boston Globe to your boat. All MYC members and guests are invited to their Father’s Day Buffet Brunch in the clubhouse (for a nominal fee). After breakfast, head back to MYC for the Father’s Day Gam on the floats at 1700.
Please register below by Thursday, June 15th. Registration for this event is necessary, so we can let Hingham know what to expect. Let us know your boat name, length, draft, type (power or sail) and crew size for complimentary mooring reservations, and provide a headcount for the Sunday brunch, if you plan to attend. Special Note: Saturday, June 17th from 0900–1500, the Grand Parade of Sail will take place as the Tall Ships parade in flotillas from Broad Sound into the main channel of Boston. On your way to Hingham, you will be able to view some of this spectacular event. And, even if you decide to attend the Grand Parade in the harbor, you'll still have plenty of time to join the Rendezvous in Hingham afterwards.
