MYC’s mid-summer race is sponsored jointly with the Manchester Harbor Boat Club in honor of our local legend Samuel Sturgis Crocker, noted American Naval architect. This race is extremely popular due its pursuit type format and staggered start times and is attended by approximately 70 boats annually! The race is open to any and all sailboats whose crews range from complete amateurs to polished, seasoned racers. There are eight different classes and awards are given for First, Second and Third Place in each class. Wood and fiberglass boats are welcome, and there is always someone racing a classic Crocker Boat. Post-race festivities again take place on the deck
at MYC and are sure to offer young an old a great way to wrap up a fun filled
